I am happy to announce that I have collaborated with Stichting Flappus Zwolle. 5 new paintings to support their fantastic sanctuary are now available to buy as prints (sizes A4 and A5) and as greeting cards. I am excited to announce we are offering an opportunity to have your pet featured on a Blackberry's Friends greeting card. This is a unique competition to win an original painting of your pet which will be used in the Blackberry's Friends range of greeting cards - you will get to keep the original artwork! It is very easy to enter, just click on the link below and follow the instructions. It is just €5 (approximately £3.75 or $4.40) to enter a favourite photograph of your pet and you can enter as many photographs as you wish. All funds generated from this competition will go direct to Konijnenparadijs for urgent repair work to the shelter and to replace some worn out equipment. Stichting Dierenlot (a large animal welfare foundation in the Netherlands) will double every donation so your €5 will become €10. Money generated (minus expenses) from sales of the greeting card featuring your pet, will also go to Konijnenparadijs, towards helping with their continual expenses. The competition is open to everyone as we're happy to post worldwide. The closing date for entries is Friday 4th October 2024 and the winner will be announced on Saturday 12th October 2024.

I'm delighted to announce Blackberry's Friends have also collaborated with Stichting t Olde Manegepeerd, a wonderful horse rescue centre. I am currently working on a range of horse paintings to support the sanctuary which will be available soon as greeting cards and prints (framed and unframed). The first painting in the new range is already completed, Moblie, a very sweet girl rescued in 2010, available next month as a greeting card and currently available now as a print

Blackberry's Friends is officially one month old today! There's no time to celebrate as we are busy preparing and installing merchandise into local independent retailers (my favourite places to shop!). Last Sunday Hoeve De Werkhorst, a wonderful farm shop in Vledder were the first to take delivery on Blackberry's Friends prints. If you visit Hoeve De Werkhorst ensure you allow plenty of time for coffee and cake, as Janneke's homemade cakes are divine!
