​In 2018 at the age of 19, beautiful Unycke retired at Olde Manegepeerd. Due to arthritis and a fall in the ditch, she could no longer work. Unycke spent her working life at a riding school in Kampen, namely Zwartendijk Ruiters, an adapted horse riding foundation specialising in lessons for people with disabilities. Unycke is a lovely character and she knows exactly what she wants. If she feels it's taking too long to be let outside, she will let you know as she really loves to be with the other horses, outside in the paddock grazing. The sanctuary has an open day on the last Sunday of each month, where you can visit and meet the horses, including sweet Unycke.
