Beautiful, red Lakenvelder Riekie was the very last cow of a retired farming couple from Staphorst. The farming couple did not want to send her to the slaughterhouse, they also wanted her to enjoy a well-deserved retirement. At the end of June 2017, Riekie moved (with the tractor from Staphorst to Leemweg). Riekie now enjoys her freedom at Leemweg for the rest of her days.​​
