Our local dairy farm, namely Hoeve de Werkhorst, is a place I visit several times a week for fresh produce. Lucky and her gang  frequently greet us on arrival at the farm.  Lucky usually hangs out at the farm shop entrance or somewhere in the garden. On warm days (when visitors are sitting outside enjoying the beautiful scenery) Lucky can be seen walking around the terrace hoping someone will drop her a few crumbs from one of Janneke's delicious home baked cakes.

Although Lucky is not connected to Konijnenparadijs, Hoeve de Werkhorst has supported the sanctuary from the very beginning of Blackberry's Friends. Janneke generously gave a lovely space in her shop to sell the cards and prints. As Janneke's chickens are  so popular with visitors, we agreed that this portrait should be painted and the proceeds from Lucky be shared with Stichting Opvang Konijnenparadijs.
