Beertje was painted as a commission for a friend of mine. He is her close (and best) companion - if you ever meet him, you will understand why, as he is just the sweetest little soul that instantly steals your heart! As my friend has a big heart for animals, she kindly gave permission for Beertje's portrait to be used for featuring on a greeting card to raise funds for an animal shelter.
